As you might already know, Sonys IFA 2017 press conference is scheduled for August 31st. While theres no official confirmation on what to expect from the conference, rumors say the Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact, and X1 will all debut on that day.
Now, some information related to the availability of the XZ1 Compact has surfaced. The rumor - which came in the form of a post on Esato forums - says the compact version of the upcoming Sony flagship will launch within 10 days of being unveiled.
Its fair to assume that the device being talked about is the Xperia XZ1 compact, and since its expected to be unveiled on August 31, sales - as per this rumor - should begin by September 10. Needless to say, nothing is official at the moment.
