OnePlus 3 OnePlus 3T receiving Android 7 1 1

OnePlus started beta testing Android 7.1.1 for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T earlier this month. And now Android 7.1.1 Nougat is rolling out to these devices along with OxygenOS 4.1.0.

Apart from Android 7.1.1 OxygenOS 4.1.0 for OnePlus 3 and One Plus 3T, adds expanded screenshots option, and brings improved picture taking of moving objects, improved video stability when recording and improved WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity . It also includes general bug fixes and Android security patch for March 2017.

It is Pokemon Go. Yep! No more Go. Let us play Pokemon Rest. 😉

Today, we will do something very interesting. So buckle up Barnes! 
GeekWinky is going to elaborately let you know how you can play Pokemon Go without moving around!

Without any further ado, lets kickstart
(Both iOS and Android users can use the same procedure)

Step 1 : Download the TuTu app.
    & nbsp;        You can download it here www.tutuapp.vip
             PS : Download it from Google only! ( Not from the play stores )

Step 2 : Select your respective OS ( iOS or Android ) and download the TuTu app as a free user.

Step 3 : This step is only for the iOS users. Once the TuTu app is installed, go to Setting>General>
             Prof iles. There you need to trust the profile ( some Chinese named profile ) and then go to 
             Tutu app.

Step 4 : Open the TuTu app and download the hacked Pokemon Go ( which is mostly on the top of 
             the charts ). Install the hacked PokemonGo app which will be our new Pokemon Rest :P

Step 5 : You are successfully done installing the hacked Pokemon Go. Just open it.

           Lame eh? I should have done it during April.

Step 7 : Get sloppy on the couch, put those french fries ( a lot of french things are         popular as well, I

             the wheel.

Samsung says faulty batteries caused Galaxy Note7 to catch fire

After several reported cases of catching fire, Samsung discontinued the Galaxy Note7 and recalled three million shipped units of the handset. Now after several months of in-depth investigation, the South Korean tech giant has finally revealed the reason for Galaxy Note 7 to catch fire.

< span style="font-size: large;">And as expected, the faulty batteries were blamed for the Galaxy Note7 fiasco. The company used batteries built by two suppliers: Samsung SDI referred to as Battery A and Hong-Kong based Amperex referred as Battery B. Based on detailed analysis of the affected batteries, Samsung found separate issues with both Battery A and Battery B. 

Battery A assessment

I. There may be multiple contributing factors relating to battery assembly/manufacturing and design that when combined led to the failure of the Note 7 in the field
A. Battery assembly/manufacturing:
• Deformation at the upper corners
B. Battery design:
• Thinner separator could lead to poorer protection and reduced tolerance to manufacturing defects
• Higher energy density in general can exacerbate the severity of a battery failure
II. One major failure mechanism is likely:
A combination of deformation at the upper corners + thin separator + repeating mechanical stresses due to cycling, causing higher possibility of separator damage leading to an ISC between aluminum and copper foil at the corner
III. Additional investigation is needed to understand the root-cause of the deformations at the upper corners

Battery B a ssessment

I. No evidence of device-level compatibility issues that may have contributed to the failure of the Note 7 in the field
II. There may be multiple contributing factors relating to production quality and battery design that when combined led to the failure of the Note 7 in the field
A. Production quality:
• Missing insulation tape on tab could result in higher possibility of ISC
• Bigger protrusion of welding points in tab could lead to higher possibility of separator puncture
• Misalignment of insulation tape and/or tab could bring more risk of ISC
B. Battery design:
• Thinner separator could lead to poorer protection and reduced tolerance to manufacturing defects
• Higher energy density in general can exacerbate the severity of a battery failure
III. One major failure mechanism for field incidents is likely:
The combination of (1) missing insulation tape + (2) sharp edged protrusions on tab + (3) thin separator, all leading to a high possibility of an ISC between cathode tab and anode, subsequently resulting in heating and fire
IV. Further analysis is needed to understand the root-cause of the damage to the edge/corner of the battery which results in ISC at that location

For the investigation Samsung utilized around 700 researchers and engineers for testing over 200,000 Galaxy Note7s and over 30,000 batteries. The company also reveled that three million units of Ga laxy Note7 were sold and 96 percent of those have been returned so far, while 120,000 units are still being actively used.

The company also announced that it has now implemented strict quality assurance protocals across the development process in order to renew its commitment to safety. Samsung has now designed an eight-point battery safety check to make sure this kind of problem will not affect any Samsung smartphones in the future. The measures include durability test, visual inspection, X-Ray and charge/discharge test.

The Tango enabled Lenovo PHAB 2 Pro is now available in India

The worlds first tango-enabled smartphone, Lenovo PHAB 2 Pro is now available in India. It can now be purchased exclusively through Flipkart at Rs. 29,990, and comes bundled with free JBL earphones.

The Lenovo PHAB 2 Pro boasts depth-sensing 3D camera system, which lets users to scan the world around them and play augmented reality games. For this, theres three imaging sensors: 16MP main RGB camera, a time of flight (TO F) camera that senses depth of field and a fisheye IR sensor for that can sense motion.

Using the three camera sensors, users can scan the world around them to turn the environment into an augmented reality setup. This can be utilized in many ways like playing AR games, or use the 3D mapping for recreational or educational purchases. To experience AR on PHAB 2 Pro, users will have to look through their phone and theyll see objects and information overlaid onto the real world.

Coming to the other specs, the PHAB 2 Pro features 6.4-inch quad-HD display, Snapdragon 652 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, 16MP rear camera, 8MP front camera and 4050mAh battery. It runs Android marshmallow and also comes with fingerprint scanner, hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE and three-array mics and Dolby Atmos.
