LibreOffice Writer Basics End page and adding contact information at the bottom

If the template of your document requires contact information at the bottom of the last page, you can use Frames and Tables to add them in LibreOffice Writer.

Note: This article uses LibreOffice Writer 5.2.3 for openSUSE 42.2 Gnome.

To add an end page with contact information at the bottom:

1. On the last page of your document, place the insertion point in the final paragraph and click Insert > Page Break.

2. Click Insert > Frame > Frame interactively.

3. Click and drag a Frame at the bottom of the page. Align the Frame to the left, bottom, and right page border.

4. Click the Border option on the toolbar to add a top border. Adjust the border width and color as needed by double-clicking the Frame, and the n adjusting properties in the Borders tab.

5. Click once on the paragraph marker to place the insertion point inside the Frame.

6. Click the Table option on the toolbar or click Table > Insert Table.

For this example, a table with a single row with three columns is added.

7. Select the table and remove any borders. Input the contact information on each column. For any information that needs to be centered, type the detail in the center column and center the text.

Export the document as PDF to check if the table is positioned properly.

LibreOffice Writer doesnt have an option to have a different last page so if you have running headers and footers with page numbers, it will appear on the contact page. However, there is an old method used in the legacy application Adobe PageMaker that also works with LibreOffice Writer to "remove" headers and footers for specific pages. You can create a white rectangle shape over the text header and footers. When the document is exported to PDF, the headers and footers arent visible.

To add a rectangle, click Insert > Shape > Basic > Rectangle. Using the format bar, change the Fill to white and Line Style to none.
